Dr Akash Awasthi

Dr. Akash Awasthi is currently posted at IGNOU Regional Centre Darbhanga as Assistant Regional Director.

Dr. Akash obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Philosophy from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi and University of Delhi, New Delhi. He qualified UGC-NET in Philosophy in 2018 and UGC-NET in Yoga 2021. Dr. Akash has been awarded Junior Research Fellowship by Indian council for Philosophical research (ICPR), New Delhi for Doctoral research.

 He submitted his doctoral thesis in 2022 on the topic ‘Advait vedant evam Kashmir shaiv darshan me paramsatta jagat evam moksha ka tulnatmak adhyayan’ and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by University of Lucknow, Lucnow.

Prior to joining IGNOU Dr. Akash worked as Guest Lecturer in Hindu Studies at Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University (Kanpur University) during 2022-23. He also worked as a consultant (academics) in the Program Office for the National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC) for the implementation of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF-School Education).
